YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP CAMP

Since 2013, kids aged 10-14 have enjoyed learning about how business works. In 2023, Sequoyah Fund's Youth Entrepreneurship Camp will be converting to an after-school program in conjunction with Cherokee Middle School. Stay tuned for more details!

KITUWAH SAVINGS PROGRAM

A program designed to help children at the Kituwah Language Academy learn to save and invest. Children entering the program for the first time will open a savings account at First Citizens Bank in Cherokee, and Sequoyah Fund will seed the account with $25. The child and parents/guardians commit to saving at least $50 during the school year. If this goal is met, Sequoyah Fund will match the savings with another $25.

We're sorry, but due to funding and staffing limitations, this program is only available to students at the Kituwah Language Academy. We hope to be able to expand this program in the future.

YOUTH FUNDRAISING

Let Sequoyah Fund help your youth organization raise funds for important projects while learning important life skills in the process.

Sequoyah Fund works with youth groups to teach entrepreneurship skills using our proprietary and proven REAL Entrepreneurship curriculum. We help students learn valuable branding, marketing, planning, organizing, goal setting, operations, and customer service skills as they build a brand that they'll be proud to sell.

We work with local vendors to source products that are high value and easy to sell. These vendors make a small profit while allowing room for youth groups to earn lots of money for their projects. Youth groups keep 60% of everything they sell, and they learn what it's like to start and operate a small business in the process.

If you'd like to learn more about how your school, church, or community organization can earn more money, call Hope Huskey at 828-359-5005.
